How to Setup Review & Rewards in New Customer Account

For this feature your customer account must be enabled. To enable it, On your store go to settings >> Customer accounts >> Select "Customer accounts"

You can set the Reviews feature and the Rewards feature in the new customer dashboard easily. 

To enable review feature 👉🏻 

1. Review Widgets Setup

Go to:

Retenzi → Branding → Reviews

Available review widgets:

  • Product Review Block
  • Product Rating Block
  • Product Global Rating
  • All Reviews Page
  • Product Review Carousel
  • All Review Widget

2. Product Review Block

Purpose:
Displays detailed customer reviews on the product page.

Setup

  1. Shopify Theme Editor
  2. Products → Default Product
  3. Choose a product
  4. Add Section
  5. Apps → Product Review
  6. Save

Customization

  • List or Grid Layout
  • Rating Icons (Star, Heart, Thumbs Up, Diamond)
  • Colors
  • Reviews per page
  • Button styling
  • Card radius
  • Q&A section

Save settings after customization.

3. Product Rating Block

Purpose:
Shows star ratings below the product title.

Setup

  1. Open Product Page in Theme Editor
  2. Product Information
  3. Add Block below Product Title
  4. Apps → Product Rating
  5. Save

Result:
Customers can instantly see product ratings.

4. Product Global Rating

Purpose:
Shows ratings on collection pages for all products.

Setup

  1. Open Collection Page in Theme Editor
  2. App Embeds
  3. Enable Global Rating
  4. Save

Result:
Every product card in collections displays ratings.

5. All Reviews Page

Purpose:
Displays all reviews from all products on one page.

Setup

  1. Branding → Reviews → All Reviews Page
  2. Theme Editor → App Embeds
  3. Enable Review Floater
  4. Save

Result:
A floating review button appears across the store.
Customers can click it to view all reviews.

6. Product Review Carousel

Purpose:
Shows reviews in a sliding carousel on product pages.

Instead of customers scrolling to the bottom, reviews appear near product information.

Setup

  1. Product Page
  2. Add Block below Buy Button
  3. Apps → Review Snippet
  4. Save

Customization

  • Rating Icons
  • Colors
  • Card Radius
  • Auto-play Reviews

Save settings.

7. All Review Widget

Purpose:
Controls the floating review widget displayed on the store.

Customization

  • Widget Style
  • Text
  • Colors
  • Position (Left/Right)
  • Display Settings

Save settings to make the widget live.

Review Management

Go to:

Review Program

Available sections:

  • Manage Reviews
  • Question & Answer
  • Import Reviews
  • Product Groups
  • Settings

8. Manage Reviews

View all customer reviews.

Options:

  • Publish Review
  • Hide Review
  • Bulk Publish
  • Bulk Hide

Separate tabs:

  • Published Reviews
  • Unpublished Reviews

Changes are auto-saved.

9. Question & Answer Section

Purpose:
Manage customer questions on products.

Example:

Customer asks:

Is XS size available?

You reply directly from Retenzi.

Benefits:

  • Customers receive email notifications.
  • Track answered and unanswered questions.

10. Import Reviews

Import reviews from:

CSV File

  1. Upload CSV
  2. Click Import

Other Review Apps

Supported migrations:

  • Judge.me
  • Loox
  • Stamped
  • Other review platforms

Export reviews from the old app and import them into Retenzi.

11. Product Groups

Purpose:
Combine reviews from similar products.

Example

Product A:

  • 10 Reviews

Product B:

  • 8 Reviews

Create a group called:

Polo Shirts

Result:

  • Product A shows 18 reviews
  • Product B shows 18 reviews

This increases social proof and trust.

12. Review Settings

Control auto-publishing of reviews.

Options:

Publish All Reviews

Every review appears automatically.

Publish Only High Ratings

Example:

  • Only 4-star and 5-star reviews

Manual Approval

No review is published until approved.

Save settings after selection.

Review Analytics

Go to:

Analytics → Reviews

Track:

Review Performance

  • Total Reviews Collected
  • Average Rating
  • Reviews by Date Range

Email Performance

  • Review Request Open Rate
  • Conversion Rate

Review Sources

  • Imported Reviews
  • Organic Reviews

Rating Breakdown

  • 5-Star Reviews
  • 4-Star Reviews
  • 3-Star Reviews

Product Insights

Review Communication & Emails

Go to:

Communication → Email Templates

Available templates:

Review Request Email

Sent after customers purchase a product.

Customizable:

  • Campaign Name
  • Subject Line
  • Email Content

Review Reminder Email

Reminder for customers who haven't submitted reviews.

Customizable:

  • Subject
  • Content
  • Preview

1. Enable Loyalty & Reward Widgets

After installing Retenzi, go to:

Retenzi → Branding

Here you will find different widgets that need to be enabled in your Shopify theme.

Loyalty Widget

This is the floating reward button shown on the storefront.

Setup:

  • Shopify Theme Editor
  • App Embeds
  • Enable Reward Widget
  • Save

Product Loyalty Widget

Shows customers how many points they can earn on a product.

Setup:

  • Theme Editor
  • Products → Default Product
  • Add Block
  • Apps → Reward Points in Product
  • Place below Buy Button
  • Save

Cart Slider Widget

Displays rewards information inside the cart.

Setup:

  • Open Cart Template
  • App Embeds
  • Enable Cart Slider
  • Save

Membership Information Block

Promotes membership plans on product pages.

Setup:

  • Product Template
  • Add Block
  • Apps → Membership Widget
  • Place near Buy Button
  • Save

Account Loyalty Page

Creates a dedicated loyalty dashboard for customers.

Customers can:

  • View points
  • Redeem rewards
  • Check referrals
  • View VIP status

Setup:

  • Open Account Loyalty Editor
  • Create Account Loyalty Page
  • Create Menu
  • Save

Checkout Thank You Block

Shows earned points after order completion.

Example:

You earned 500 points from this order.

Setup:

  • Open Thank You Page Editor
  • Add Thank You Block
  • Save

2. Customize Widget Design

Go to:

Retenzi → Branding

Customize:

  • Colors
  • Icons
  • Text
  • Widget Position
  • Shapes
  • Animations

Preview on:

  • Desktop
  • Mobile

Save all settings.

3. Configure Loyalty Points Program

Go to:

Loyalty Program → Points Program

Enable the loyalty program.

This activates the reward system for your store.

4. Create Ways to Earn Points

Customers earn points by performing actions.

Click:

Add Earn Points

Examples:

Birthday Reward

  • Give 100 points on customer birthday

Other Earning Methods

  • Sign Up
  • Place Order
  • Social Media Actions
  • Custom Rewards

These actions encourage customers to engage with your store.

5. Create Ways to Redeem Points

Customers should also be able to spend their points.

Click:

Add Redeem Points

Available reward types:

Amount Discount

Example:

  • 100 Points = ₹100 Off

Percentage Discount

Example:

  • 200 Points = 10% Off

Free Shipping

Free Product

You can configure:

  • Reward name
  • Point requirement
  • Minimum purchase amount
  • Product restrictions
  • Discount code prefix
  • Expiration period

Save the redemption rule.

6. Create Milestones

Milestones reward customers when they achieve goals.

Go to:

Milestones → Add Milestone

Example:

  • Complete 1 Order = 100 Bonus Points

Other examples:

  • Spend ₹5,000
  • Complete 10 Orders
  • Reach a target number of points

Milestones help increase repeat purchases.

7. Configure Point Branding

Instead of showing "Points", you can create a custom brand name.

Example:

Singular:

  • Smash Coin

Plural:

  • Smash Coins

Customers will see:

You earned 10 Smash Coins

This makes the loyalty program feel unique to your brand.

8. Configure Point Expiry

Enable Point Expiry and define a period.

Example:

  • Points expire after 12 months

Points expire only when customers remain inactive during the selected period.

This encourages customers to return and redeem rewards.

9. Setup Referral Program

Go to:

Referral Program

Enable referrals.

Referral Reward

Reward the customer who refers a friend.

Examples:

  • ₹100 Discount
  • Free Shipping
  • Free Product

Referred Friend Reward

Reward the new customer who joins through the referral link.

This creates a win-win referral system.

10. Configure Referral Coupon Timing

Choose when referral rewards should be generated.

Purchase

Reward generated immediately after order placement.

Fulfillment

Reward generated only after the order is fulfilled.

Fulfillment is safer because it prevents abuse and cancelled-order rewards.

11. Setup Membership Program

Go to:

Membership Program → Create Membership Plan

Examples:

  • Gold Club
  • VIP Access
  • Premium Membership

Add benefits such as:

  • Amount Discount
  • Percentage Discount
  • Free Shipping
  • Free Products

Choose billing frequency:

  • Monthly
  • Quarterly
  • Half-Yearly
  • Yearly

Memberships can be sold through products or collections.

12. Setup VIP Program

Go to:

VIP Program

Enable VIP tiers.

VIP tiers reward your best customers.

Configure VIP Rules

Based on:

  • Total Points Earned
  • Total Spending

Example Tiers

Silver

Requirement:

  • 1,000 Points

Reward:

  • 5% Discount

Gold

Requirement:

  • 5,000 Points

Reward:

  • 10% Discount

Platinum

Requirement:

  • 10,000 Points

Reward:

  • 15% Discount

Additional perks:

  • Free Shipping
  • Priority Support
  • Exclusive Offers

13. Analytics

Go to:

Analytics

Track performance of your loyalty program.

Metrics include:

  • Revenue Generated
  • Orders Generated
  • Average Order Value
  • Rewards Earned
  • Rewards Redeemed
  • Coupons Generated
  • Coupons Used
  • Referral Performance
  • VIP Performance

This helps measure the success of your rewards strategy.

14. Communication & Emails

Go to:

Communication

Configure:

Email Status

Enable or disable reward emails.

Sender Information

Set:

  • Sender Name
  • Reply Email Address

Review Request Emails

Example:

  • Send review request 3 days after order delivery

Automatic reminder emails can also be sent.

15. Email Templates

Retenzi provides templates for:

  • Reward Earned
  • Birthday Reward
  • Signup Reward
  • Order Reward
  • Anniversary Reward
  • Review Reward
  • Social Reward
  • VIP Reward

You can customize each template according to your brand.

16. Customer Management

Go to:

Customers

View:

  • Customer Points
  • Orders
  • VIP Tier
  • Activity History

You can manually adjust points.

Example:

  • Add 1000 bonus points to a loyal customer.
